from the TaraJosh Guestbook Following
are just a few of the hundreds of wonderful wishes
we have received:
Peter Wright - Provo, Utah
I
just wanted to let you know that I will keep you
in my prayers. Life sometimes deals some difficult
blows, but in the end it all works for our own
good no matter how difficult or random our trial
seems at the time. I pray that in your time of
difficulty you are feeling the love and caring of
your fellow man.
Chelcee Wickstrand - Draper,
Utah
I
saw the accident form my window at work. It was
one of the worst accidents that I have ever seen!!
My heart goes out to you Tara,
and your family!!
Ron , Julie, Kyle, Marissa and Jon
Ballard - Longmont, Colorado
Our daughter,
Bethany, played basketball with Tara at San Jose
Christian College. Tara and Josh stayed at our
home a couple of years ago as they were checking
out Colorado. We have been visiting this site
daily. Our five year old son, Jon, prays for
Josh's arm to heal every night at bedtime. We were
blessed to be able to visit with Josh in Utah
briefly and felt his burden. We pray for both of
you daily and may you know you are in our hearts.
We believe in an awesome God who loves and knows
our every need. God bless you and yours. Thank you
for this website, for allowing us to share in
Tara's precious life.
C. M. MacIntosh - San Ramon,
California
Dearest
Tara, my thoughts and prayers are with you, your
husband and family. While my heart is filled with
sadness and eyes full of tears, I also fill the
incredible love and warmth that surrounds you. The
world is waiting for you to rise and share your
beautiful smile with all of us. We are very
patient so take your time and we will all be here
when you are ready . . .
Mikel Harding - Cedar Hills,
Utah
I
have been drawn to your story from day I heard of
the accident on the radio. From all I have read you are an inspiring family and you have touched
my life. You are in my prayers. I look forward to
reading Tara's status every morning and will
continue to pray for her recovery
Steve
Leonard
- Murray,
Utah
I enjoy
checking out Tara's progress reports every morning
when I get home from work. I pray for complete
healing of Tara. Patience and peace for Josh and
the families. Tara will be healed. It will be in
God's time but she will be healed. He has a plan
and I hope everyone that visits this site will
continue to pray and praise God while he works a
miracle in Tara. We will all be blessed because of
it. I have made several donations and will
continue to do so. God provides.
Anna Penner - Los Gatos,
California
I
went on a missions trip to Latvia with Tara in
2000. I remember her strength and cheerfulness
both on and off the basketball court. It was a joy
to get to know her.
Marisa Robbins - Pleasanton,
California
Best
wishes to Josh and Tara for a complete recovery!
Marriage is a blessing and you deserve to live
your lives to the fullest! We pray for you and are
glad to help. God Bless your families.
Holly Hartman - San Jose,
California
Tara,
You have always been a determined woman,
God-filled and a kick to be with. The job ahead of
you will be difficult but, if anyone can do it,
you can. You have Josh, your family and friends
pulling for you and praying and, most of all, God
is with you all the time. We all want to see you
singing and dancing again!
Kimberly Stark - Highlands
Ranch, Colorado
I know Tara and
Josh from Church (Summit) and have been checking
on Tara's status every day. Thanks so much for
putting up this website, it helps me to be more
specific in my prayer requests
Amy B. - Salt Lake City, Utah
My
husband and I donated $100.00. We wish we could do
more, but we are also newly weds. We have followed
this story since it happened and wish your family
the very best. If there could be a way to help let
us know.
Chizuru Mori - San Jose, California
My
name, Chizuru, means "1000 cranes" in
Japanese, and that is a symbol of "peace and
recovery". In Japan, we make 1000 paper
cranes to wish a sick person get well. I
personally do not know her but I hope she will
recover soon.
Scott Futer
- Santa Rosa, California
Hi
Josh and Tara, My name is Scott, I work in
Flightguard dispatch and we do the dispatching for
REACH Air Ambulance. All of the personnel here at
Flightguard and in REACH wish you the best and for
a speedy recovery. You are in very good hands at
Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Take care!
Amanda Counter - Salt Lake City,
Utah
I just can't seem
to find words adequate enough to explain how much
I... and so many others, have been touched by the
tragedy that struck Tara and Josh, and the Goodman
family. I pray for everyone involved, I
check on Tara's status daily, I report to friends
and family who don't have the internet. I
have been so impressed by the dignity, grace, and
STRENGTH that exudes from Josh and Tara's
families. You are all pillars of light, beacons of
hope and truth who have encouraged many to step
out of the rat race, thank the Lord for our
blessings, and to begin "paying it
forward". Now Tara is going home! Even
though I have never met her I feel like I am going
to miss her. Her presence here in my hometown has
instilled something in me that makes me want to be
a better wife, a better mother, and a better
person. Bless you Tara! You will always have
a home in Salt Lake City.
Donna Kennedy - Gilroy,
California
Hi
Tara, Just another note to let you know that
you and your family continue to be in my thoughts
and prayers daily. Welcome home and continue your
AMAZING recovery. I knew you were a remarkable
person even when you were just a 7th grader in my
history class. I will never forget your
"cheerleader" campaign speech when you
were running for some student body office one
year. It was hilarious. You'll, once
again, "over achieve" and show those
doctors, and all of us, that only 100%/A+ will
suffice.
Kirch DeMartini - Los Gatos
High School Counselor, Class of 2002
Tara,
I remember you so well and am keeping you in my
daily prayers. You always took the 'high road' and
I admired your ability to look ahead, make mature
and wise decisions about your direction in life,
and resist the temptation to 'follow the
crowd.' You were, and are, an inspiration to
lots of kids...and adults. Take care, get
well, and remember there is a legion of friends
who care about you.
Margie Sabala - San Jose,
California
I
knew Josh from Calvary Church. When I was on staff
with the Children's Ministry, Josh was involved
with the kids. I remember he was a great counselor
at their Summer Horse Camp week. I was SO saddened
to hear of the accident. I pray for God's grace to
take both of you through this and the recovery
will bring glory to him.
Stefanie & Justin Keltch -
Thornton, Colorado
When we read
this story in the Rocky Mountain News, our hearts
went out to Josh and Tara. It is sad to know that
they had only 10 days of married bliss before the
accident. They both look so happy and in love in
their beautiful wedding pictures. We both hope
that Tara will pull through so that they can turn
those ten days into fifty years. My husband and I
have already made a donation and hope that it will
help pay the medical bills.
Stephanie Whipple - West Jordon,
Utah
I
work with the gentleman that used his truck to
push Tara and Josh's SUV from the burning car.
Andy Findlay is a very friendly and giving person
- we all call him a hero here at work and he
shrugs it off as "oh anyone would have done
it" I've been following their story and
reading the updates on her status since the
accident. I'm glad to hear that Tara is doing well
and is now back home. I wish her and Josh both the
best in their future together.
Angela Myers - Long Beach,
California
I
went to Calvary with Tara and Josh (Junior High
and High School years). I want them to know that I
am praying for them every day, that God will
provide comfort for their families, that Tara will
have a full recovery, that people will donate
money to Tara and Josh for their medical bills,
and that God will just give peace to Josh while
his wife is in this coma. I pray that God will
give strength to Tara so that her recovery will be
quick or that He will just perform a
miracle. God Bless.
Alex Probst - Bailey, Colorado
I
am a Professor at CCU and I helped Tara finish one
of her last classes so that she could graduate. I
was at the graduation ceremony and watched her
walk across the stage and get her diploma.
Fred, Cathleen and Victoria
Fortune - San Jose, California
We check the
site every day and pray for you all. Love to you!
Cynthia Popper - Draper, Utah
John
and I worked in San Jose together sometime in the
'90s. I will continue to pray for complete healing
for Tara and for God's continued touch in all
family members' lives. He has a great purpose for
each of your lives! In the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11
says, "For I know the plans I have for
you," declares the Lord, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future."
Catherine Howard - Cleveland
Heights, Ohio
Praying
for Josh and Tara, and your families, every day.
With love and faith in our hearts, we wish you
patience and God's love and mercy.
Ken & Susan Haire - San
Jose, California
I
worked at Calvary Church in Los Gatos for 18 years
and watched Josh grow from a boy to a very good
man of God. I only met Tara a couple of times
after she started coming to Real Life meetings at
Calvary. I will continue to pray HARD.
Sara Fiebiger - Los Gatos,
California
I
went to middle school and high school with Tara
and she is such a unique and special person, I
pray for her and her family everyday!
Marci Sellers - Wood Cross, Utah
I
have never met, spoke or heard of Josh and Tara
before the accident but somehow feel drawn to
them. Everyday I look at the website and hope that
there is an update that she is awake and ok. I
don't know why I have been drawn to this couple
but I will pray for her recovery.
Vicki Clark - San Jose,
California
Tara
and my daughter Lexie played basketball together
in middle school. Later, they both modeled for the
same agency in San Francisco. Lexie and I
talked to her one day when she was working at
Macy's makeup counter at Valley Fair. Tara
has always been a sweet girl. We're all
rooting for her.
Mike Myers - Talent, Oregon
I
am a friend of her father's and have only met her
a few times over the years. Every time I did
though, she was very gracious, warm and friendly.
Anonymous - Murray, Utah
I
was the second officer on scene the day of the
accident and have been curious as to how Tara was
doing since the day I saw her leave in the
helicopter. I'm so glad to hear that she and Josh
are doing well. They have both been in my thoughts
and prayers and will continue to be.
Linda Carter
- La Verne, California
I
have been following Tara & Josh's story since
it first was reported on the Deseret News. Updates
on Tara's health is now the first thing I read
every morning after turning on computer. I think
of Josh and his struggles and hope that he knows
so many people are praying for Tara and for him to
just "hang in there". I feel
confident that He & Tara will have the
opportunity to enjoy life and to make up for
missing out on this "newlywed" time for
them. Please continue to update their website for
us strangers who have come to love & care for
Tara & Josh.
Jeremy Georges - Los Gatos,
California
I have known
Josh and Tara since my elementary years when Josh
was my councilor at camp and Tara was a councilor
of a different cabin. Tara, I keep you in my
prayers every day and will never forget your
bubbly personality, your kind words, and your
amazing sense of humor. Josh, I really
admire your strength. I am so excited for you to
get to heaven and have God tell you, "Well
done my good and faithful servant."
Kerry Smith - San Jose,
California
I
go to Calvary Church as well. I just graduated
from the high school group, and vividly remember
Tara and her wonderful heart for the Lord. Her
singing was always wonderful!!! I love you
Tara and Josh, and cannot wait to see your smiling
face once more! God bless!
Jacky Larson, Los Gatos,
California
My
clearest memory of Tara is singing Phil Collins'
"Another Day in Paradise" and watching
Neverending Story with her for days on end in
kindergarten. I was horrified when my mom showed
me the article in the SJ Merc about the car crash,
and have been praying for Tara and all of you ever
since. All my best wishes.
Katie Sween - Rocklin,
California
I
met Tara & Josh at Calvary Church. I met Josh
in the Jr. High program and Tara in High School.
They are both such wonderful people and great
friends. Tara and I have spent lots of time
together in the last several years and even took a
class together at West Valley! She is such a good
friend and has always been there for me. Tara is
an awesome example of strong woman of God. She has
been an inspiration to me. I'm praying for Tara to
wake up soon and for a safe recovery. I'm also
praying for Joshs' injuries to heal quickly, and
for God to give him peace. My family, friends and
I are all praying for Tara & Josh.
Miki Masuda - San Jose,
California
Met
both Josh & Tara while they went through the
high school ministry at Calvary. Tara would often
visit me in my office at church. She also helped
coach a youth basketball team. I traveled to
Latvia twice with Tara and with both of them to
Romania.
Karen Kelley - Beaverton, Oregon
I
know Tara because my dad is Chuck Kelley, whom
Tara went to Latvia with and Tara has come to
Oregon to visit me and I have spent some
wonderfully memorable times with her in California
over the last few years. Although she may not know
it, Tara has blessed my life so much by her
actions, she taught me how to be a better friend
and the importance of being a truly genuine
person. She amazes me. I love you, Tara!
Renalda
Ludvika - Riga, Latvia
Tara and
I are very good friends since she came to Latvia,
and I have visited her in California a couple of
times, where I also met Josh. I was supposed
to come to the wedding and be a bridesmaid.
I want you to know that everyone who knows Tara
here are praying for her fervently, and many
churches are joining in prayer for Tara.
Karuss
Edwards, Los Gatos, California
Tara
has been my best friend / sister figure for
the past three and a half years and I have been
friends with Josh for four years. I love them both
very much and all of us are praying for them.
Linda Kilgore,
Highlands Ranch, Colorado
Tara and Josh
attend our church at Summit Community. My son is a
youth in Josh's youth group. I hosted Tara's
bridal shower in Denver. I also coordinated the
move from Josh's apartment this past weekend. They
are both awesome people and we continue to pray
for Tara and Josh.
Erika Zdunich
- Sandy, Utah
Tara, I
am excited to see the progress in your recovery.
It makes me smile to read when you do something
new for the first time. For your father it must be
like watching his baby doing something for the first
time all over again! I continue to hang up flyers
for you and your family in the hopes that you will
make a full recovery. You are still in my thoughts
and prayers. Hang
in there! One day at a time.....
Kristi Levesque
- Aurora, Colorado
I don't
even know Tara and Josh but it hits close to home
since they were on their way to Colorado. I love
how you keep people up to date on the progress of
Tara. I am hoping she comes out of the coma soon.
I will be praying for both of the families
involved. God Bless!!
Trisha Kristof
- San Jose,
California
I know
Tara from Real Life at Calvary. She is an awesome
singer and I always missed her when she wasn't
there to help lead the singing. I always enjoyed
her bubbliness
and honesty with all at Real Life.
